Frequent cloud cover and low sun angle over Estonia makes it difficult to get satellite images for inter-comparison and validation. MODIS/Terra Level1 and Level2 images were obtained from the GES Distributed Active Archive Center MODIS/Aqua from the OceanColor website. MERIS images were available via ESA Category 1 user project (number 3180, PI: A. Reinart) from MERCI catalogs and processed by Brocmann Consult
