Mass-loss rates of hot stars are known to depend strongly on luminosity. Using the sample of well-studied O and WR stars and of 4 LBVs, we confirmed the results of the study of Nugis (1989) that the observed mass-loss rates are strongly depending also on chemical composition, especially on the mass fraction of helium.
