We carry out a detailed investigation both of the luminous and dark
matter (DM) components in individual galaxies and in the surroundings
of giant galaxies -- in hypergalactic systems. The main emphasize is
given to the study of the influence of DM coronas on the distribution,
kinematics and evolution of visible matter in parent and companion
galaxies. To this purpose we
-
carry out a detailed comparative investigations of loose and compact
groups of galaxies, incorporating new observational data for faint
group members (J. Vennik).
-
studied the representative samples of double galaxies (M.
Jõeveer);
-
model the structure of galaxies of different morphologies and
luminosities (P. Tenjes);
-
compare the constructed models with galaxies from surveys at different
redshifts (P. Tenjes);
-
investigate the gas motions in the outer regions of galactic disks (U.
Haud);
-
analyze the kinematics of High Velocity hydrogen Clouds (HVC's) in the
outskirts of our Galaxy (U. Haud);
-
work on automated quantitative spectral classification of F-K stars
with the use of observations from several observers (V. Malyuto).
